Machining

Mould CNC Machine

We use two main methods to manufacture molds: standard Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) milling and Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM).  CNC machining has become the predominant means of making more complex molds with more accurate mold details in less time than traditional methods.

The electrical discharge machining (EDM), also known as spark erosion process, has become widely used in mold making. We have EDM service in–house, as it is essential to the mold build process of complex molds. EDM allows the formation of injection molded shapes which are difficult to machine, such as square corners or ribs.

Injection Mould Product Evaluation Process

We have all the new technology for manufacturing moulds. Our equipment is thoroughly modernized, and there is a lot of precision in them. The latest computer techniques we follow for every step in manufacturing moulds. Our new machines help in making any intricate shapes of the pattern and die.

The electrode is then lowered to the workpiece. Then, using a controlled electrical source, the electrode is used to destroy and disperse the metal in the area opposite of the electrode. The electrode never contacts the workpiece. A spark gap of a few thousandths of an inch is always maintained between the electrode and workpiece. This process is a slower method of removing metal from a mold; however, the EDM process can produce shapes that are not possible with conventional CNC machining.
